All our own! All our Own!

Come and see the show!
Come and see the show!

Now normally I wouldn't read what Dyer posts but I was already at the dentist today so I figured it couldn't be any worse than that. What I read was an egotistical tirade unlike anything I have ever seen!

Lets break it down shall we?

Dyer claims to be the best hoaxer in the world? Hardly. A great hoaxer would take his secret to the grave like the famous Doctor's photo of Nessie. That was held up as 100% proof positive that Nessie was real for decades! What about Patterson? Yea I said it! That's a great hoax my friends. Not stuffing a monkey costume in a freezer or ranting on Facebook for months on end about something only you and your partner in crime know about. Being exposed as a hoaxer nearly right away negates you from being a half assed hoaxer let alone the greatest.

The greatest tracker? No, again if that were true he would be able to lure and capture a live one and put it on display. Not shoot one in the back. If he's so great why doesn't he have pictures of them? Footprints? Hair? Poo? Nope. He could take actual scientists into the woods and show them Bigfoot but does he? Greatest tracker indeed.

Then he rants about how much he hates most people in the Bigfoot community and that he gets a great chuckle from pulling the strings. Ok, well that part I will take at his word.

That's where he really goes full ego maniac. He seems to think that he will be the great Messiah of a "new" Bigfoot community? What?

I wrote the 10 Commandments piece as satire, Dyer seems to think that he actually is Moses and will lead the people through the desert!

Then he spouts off about Meldrum having requirements to see the body and mocks him by saying he has no real interest in Bigfoot (even though Dyer himself admits the same) and that even if there was a 1% chance it was real that Meldrum should be tripping over himself to see it. So by Dyer's own account Meldrum thinks there is less than a 1% chance of this being real (insert Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber saying "So you're tellin me there's a chance!" here). Even if Dyer had the real thing you can't fault Meldrum for not falling for it again. Fool me once......... But does Dyer let Meldrum eat his words by showing him the body? Of course not, because he knows Meldrum won't be his mouthpiece like Musky.

Here is what I see.

I see a guy that is desperate for attention. He could be making money off internet traffic, but I seriously doubt it's at the level he claims. Dyer is like a bank robber that got away with it the first time and wants to pull another big job.

His problem is that he didn't get away with it. He was caught in his first attempt albeit it had no other conclusion. This hoax isn't taking the path he thought it would and he knows the end game again is that he will be exposed as a hoaxer.

Did he honestly think that he would get the media attention, have respected names in the Bigfoot community seeking him out, interviews on CNN and all the morning talk shows, the whole 9 yards like after the 2008 hoax? The Believers might have short memories, but not many others.

The truth is they are all avoiding him like the plague and it's getting to him. He knows he has no other out and that the community should/will shun him in the end.  That's the point of him sticking his middle finger up in the air now. "I never liked you in the first place so it doesn't bother me that you all hate me!"
Most people don't spend much time on people they hate. I don't actually like or hate Dyer as much as I would simply like him to to fade away. Rage against the dying of the light all you want, but that light is dying and you know it. I know it, anyone with common sense knows it, the Believers will know it soon enough.

There will be no real body, there will be no televised press conference this time, no paid interviews this time, no network cameras this time, and it's killing him. All he has left is a small band of supporters, a newly started blog, and a YouTube channel with 4 videos. Those faithful are making a lot of noise for him in a few select places but its not enough this time.

So all I ask is that when the end game plays out could we please do what should have happened 4 yeas ago? Shun this guy and not allow him to be part of the discussion any longer.

Unlike Emmerson, Lake, and Palmer I would really like the show to end.

  1. couldn't agree more...the very fact that I posted youtube links to media reports about his latest Ebay fraud charges, provoked Dyer into making a false arrest report about me and posting it to his blog. All day (apparently because going to see a BF body doesn't capture his attention for very long) I fielded Musky Allen comments and attacks on FB/FB site. Apparently I pissed off dyer and his boyfriend enough by calling them on their bs before Allen supposedly went to Vegas to see supposed dead body. So if you go to those sort of lengths to lie and divert attention away from the comments and subject at hand..what does that tell ya?
