Bigfoot NOT Shot In Pennsylvania

By
Bigfoot Shot In Pennsylvania?
This is a report I just received on the current Pennsylvania Bigfoot shooting fiasco.
"So if you haven't heard ... a turkey hunter shot another turkey hunter who was wearing a gilley suit on Tuesday. Somehow this all got twisted around and contorted from the original ham radio broadcast - Somerset which led people to speculate it was western Pennsylvania and then somehow Bigfoot got thrown around in the story. Anyhow, the shooting was real, but it happened in Somerset, WI and it was a turkey hunter that was shot, not a bigfoot. I have friends who are State police and they said nothing like this was reported recently. This is a prime example on how the chain of information gets altered each time it is passed on. Please stop with the runaway imaginations (we all want it to be real - but it is not this time)." Ray H

SOMERSET TOWNSHIP, Wis. - A Washington County Sheriff's commander is recovering at a Twin Cities hospital after being shot while scouting for a turkey hunt in western Wisconsin. St. Croix County deputies were called to the 1900 block of 80th Street in Somerset Township just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on reports someone had been shot. When they arrived on the scene witnesses told deputies that a group was hunting turkeys when one hunter fired a shotgun and struck 53-year-old Commander Jerry Cusick. Washington County Sheriff Bill Hutton says Cusick, a 28-year veteran of the department, was unarmed and was walking an area where he often hunts when he was shot.
Cusick was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul; The Pioneer Press says he is reported in good condition. St. Croix County investigators and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) are looking into the shooting to determine if criminal charges will be filed.

  1. The problem is that there is a police scanner recording from Cambria, PA that records a call about someone having "proof of Bigfoot".

  2. I imagine that is just another rumor. Otherwise where is the recording?

  3. Another hole in the PA bigfoot story is there is no Army base in PA with helicopters to deploy. There is a large Army base in Sparta, WI.
LOL, there are probably 911 calls all the time reporting bigfoots (who knows)and where is the recording of that call and how would PBS obtain such recording? "Hey guys, we are bigfoot investigators and we demand that you hand over the 911 recordings." That doesn't sound right.
I think the ham operator from PA just assumed that Somerset was local to them and the rest of the story just spun out of control.

    1. Try asking us how we got the recordings? i'd be happy to share it with you. Anyone can get copies of the recordings. It's not difficult if you know where to go and where to look.

    2. So you actually have 911 recordings? Please release them and provide the link. Yes, please tell me how 911 recordings are obtained so easily, I do not know the process so I can definitely learn something here.

    3. Yes there is. There is a small fleet of army helecopters based at the Johnstown-Cambria County airport. Look at them sitting there on Google maps.

  4. A joint statement will be released tomorrow in regards to the "Bigfoot shot in PA rumor." One of the investigators on the case has a meeting with an officer from the municipal police department. Some very interesting information was shared with us today that confirms my thoughts. Details to be released tomorrow evening.

  5. Either way no Bigfoot was shot dead. I don't believe bird-shot could do the task.

    1. I hear you Johnny. But I can chop down 8-10" diameter trees with about 3 shots from my 12 ga using #8 shot. I never shot a tree at more than 30 feet away, but shooting at soft flesh; I would never under estimate the power of a shotgun at under 40 yards. Turkey hunters usually use #4, #2 or 000 Buck in 3-1/2" magnum loads. Not exactly a skeet load.

  6. A joint statement? Joint with who? Surely you can expand on that statement. The initial reports state that the Army and State Police were involved, yet you list a Municipal reference. Surely there is a conflict from the initial reports. Will give you the time and wait for tomorrow's report.

  7. Whenever the word "wait" is involved in something like this there seems to be an agenda. Nothing has been put out on the media.

    1. I agree Johnny. This is a 24 hour wait, not a week or a month or 6 months. I am sure that these guys/gals have day jobs so I am willing to cut them at least a day or two slack. They did say that they did not want to perpetuate a rumor and that they would not "offically" post until they had some "facts". I am willing to wait (a day), it won't kill me.

Jerry Cusick was shot in Minnesota by turkey hunters on May 2nd. Please, in the future spend five minutes looking it up before you write a story on it.

    1. No he was shot in Wisconsin and then taken to a major hospital in Mn. Read your own story and it is the same one.

  9. Gentlemen, There is no agenda. Thus far all evidence does not prove a Bigfoot was shot. The reason for the wait is because one of the investigators from the PA Bigfoot Society is meeting with the local police municipality to confirm their side of the story. Once he speaks to the chief, we can close this case. If you go to www.broadcastify.com you can find archived 911 dispatch calls for any country, state, county or muncipality. We arent trying to keep this information from anyone. The joint statement is between myself, the PA Bigfoot Society investigator and an independant researcher. No one else. We want to present the information based on all the facts we have. We are finishing the investigation as of today. As I have said all along and from the beginning, there is no body, there was no bigfoot shot and it was a claim and rumor. We are trying to prove the claim is legit or not and at this point all the information we have gathered states that there is not.
